I'm Joanna, a mum of 3 (Sophie 10, Tristan 6 & Ronin Under 1). I live on the west coast of Scotland and baking has been my hobby & passion since I was young.
I recently decided that I would love to turn my love for baking into a business. I have been researching hundreds of different recipes, tweaked the ones I loved to suit my own taste and made myself my own recipe book. I also looked into what it would take for me to run my own home baking business from home.
I grew my knowledge and decided to take the first step and completed my level 2 food hygiene and my allergen training...
I set my kitchen up in a way that would be safe and hygienic, due to being on the small side, I had to be creative with storage solutions and worktop space ...
I finalised recipes, practiced my decorating techniques, spent many hours searching for inspiration and any and all information on running a home baking business...
I was at the last stage of setting everything up and registering with my local council, so i decided to ask my landlord for permission to run the business from home...
They didn't accept my request...
So unfortunately (for now) i cant sell any of my baking goods. But I can still practice and improve my skills and try build a good following on social media for when that time comes!
Watch this space for when I finally get set up!
